n this garden an existing purbeck stone patio which sloped in different directions, together with heavy clay soil, meant there were some drainage problems. The patio was replaced with a new 3-sized Yorkstone patio on a Scalpings sub-base recommended to oppose the clay soil, and drainage was incorporated into the patio to combat rainwater.
